Dense Z-Pinch Conference

July 9–13, 2023
Ann Arbor, Michigan

Jointly hosted by the University of Michigan and
Sandia National Laboratories

The International Conference on Dense Z-Pinches (DZP) covers all aspects of theoretical and experimental z-pinch research, including metal liner implosions, dense plasma focuses, gas-puff z-pinches, wire-array z-pinches, X-pinches, single-wire explosions, diagnostics, modeling & simulation, spectroscopy, and pulsed power drivers.  Applications include inertial confinement fusion, radiation sources, material properties, laboratory astrophysics, and basic plasma phenomena.

The conference is a highlight on the z-pinch calendar, usually taking place every 3 years, and bringing together researchers and students from around the world to discuss recent scientific advances and future directions for the field.

Speakers and Session Chairs: Please stop by the presentation podium at the front of the Terrace ballroom approximately 15-30 minutes before your session begins to upload and test presentations on the podium laptop.  Use of a USB thumb drive is preferred.

Poster boards will accommodate a maximum (landscape) poster size of 4 ft tall x 6 ft wide (122 cm x 182 cm).
