The 6th International Workshop on Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) with in-situ Irradiation (WOTWISI-6) will be held at the University of Michigan, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, from July 27–29, 2022.
This workshop will focus on the recent progress in both facility development and applications of TEM with in situ ion and electron irradiation.
Representatives and experienced users of the TEM-ion beam-linked facilities in the world are invited to gather to share their experiences and discuss the future research topics of this state-of-the-art technique. Areas for discussion will include the problems associated with the facility development (e.g., temperature and beam current measurement and control; interference of electromagnetic field of the TEM lens to the low energy light ions, ways to minimize the shadowing effects, multi-beam irradiation, and implantation) as well as applications of in situ TEM with ion irradiation on the studies of nuclear materials, radiation effects in semiconductors, nano-scale material modification, etc. Researchers who are interested in using or building TEM-ion beam-linked facilities are also welcome to attend.
